The 9th Most Loathsome Person in America: You.
“Charges: You believe in freedom of speech, until someone says something that offends you. You suddenly give a damn about border integrity, because the automated voice system at your pharmacy asked you to press 9 for Spanish. You cling to every scrap of bullshit you can find to support your ludicrous belief system, and reject all empirical evidence to the contrary. You know the difference...

“Every once in a while a director will throw us for a loop and make a film that is inconsistent with his or her other work.”

They run two photos—one of a man painting a window, the next of a man stealing a wallet. Turns out, um, they’re the same man. — maniacalrage
Cat Lady Syndrome →
“Toxoplasma gondii can infect many species, but it undergoes sexual reproduction only in cat digestive tracts. Once the parasite reproduces, the cat passes it in its feces, where the next unwitting host picks it up by digesting it (intentionally or unintentionally). Then the cycle starts again. In the long run, Toxo must find its way back to a cat’s stomach to survive. So the parasite has...

“The current upload time is estimated to take approximately 4 minutes on a 56.6 modem.”
Does that even mean anything to us these days?

Did Iceland Teen Call Secret White House Phone? →
Vífill claims he was passed on to several people, each of them quizzing him on President Grímsson’s date of birth, where he grew up, who his parents were and the date he entered office. “It was like passing through checkpoints,” he said. “But I had Wikipedia and a few other sites open, so it was not so difficult really.”

“I got a temper.”
So I go looking for a present for my hooker, thinking whorepresents.com would be the one-stop shop.
The fiancé went to NYC this morning to look at wedding dresses. I have no further comment.

My dog responds to me whistling and runs like crazy. Just not towards me. It’s more like whistling a starter pistol.

Googlepedia
Looks like Google is taking one big step closer to brain domination. They’ll soon be launching Knol, their response to Wikipedia. It seems one major focus is on source accountability; authors will get full-on profiles and ratings on their contributions. There’s also a form of revenue sharing: “If an author chooses to include ads, Google will provide the author with substantial revenue...

Flickr Stats →
“There are stats available for people surfing on Flickr itself - where the referrer is flickr.com - and stats about people coming from other websites. We can show you the sorts of things people search for on search engines where your photos turn up, and tell you how many views your photos have in a week, or for all time.”
Watching The McLaughlin Group. Lawrence O’Donnell is PISSED about Mormons, and everyone’s acting like HE’S the crackpot.

“Plus-X 120 is gone. Time to load-up on single rolls of 160NC & VC + 400NC & VC, too. Hope they don’t get rid of those in bulk 35mm rolls, but they probably already have!” - 2point8

Tumblr’s date changing option is seriously messed up. You can change the date, and that post reflects the correct date, but it has absolutely no effect on the ordering of the posts (meaning, changing a post to Sep 2 makes that post SAY Sep 2, but puts it between Dec 9 and Dec 11, with no apparent rhyme or reason).

Watching The Graduate makes me miss Berkeley. In the “Hey, I saw a guy shit right where Dustin Hoffman is standing!” kind of way.
