Hiatus, Redux
It’s funny how most of my “blogging” comes from the relatively boring times in my life, rather than the significant ones. I’ve never been much of a journal guy (at least not a public one), so what tends to get posted here is the random crap I come across, whiling away the time I spend in front of the computer, not exactly the most heady material (with the occasional photo of mine thrown in for good measure). But now, with such a heavy plate of life being served up to me, and zero time to keep up with the internet (which has always been my source of material), rather than start ‘journaling’ my *own* thoughts and happenings now (imagine that), I’m going to the other extreme; total tune out.
I’m getting married in two weeks, and heading to Iceland for two weeks after that. I’ve already got old friends sacked out on my couch in preparation for the bachelor party this weekend, and I’m also still managing to squeeze in a lot of really interesting work for some really great clients (up until about right now). And, just to make things real interesting, my soon-to-be wife and I are starting another business. So many things are in overdrive right now, but it’s all “real life” stuff, and rather than keeping track of and regurgitating them through my online persona, I’m just declaring bankruptcy; something’s got to give, so I’m crying uncle and walking away from the computer for a while.
Naz and Justin and I talked about hiatus’ before (and this is hardly my first), and unfortunately Jakob was forced into his own, but ultimately I think we could all use them, and if there was ever a time for me to put my emphasis on the things I can touch and feel, rather than type and click, it’s now. Peace out world, see you in a couple months.
