A couple really good movies I saw recently:
In Bruges, Way better than I expected. Dark and funny and quiet and sad and fucked up. And I didn’t hate Colin Farrell in it.
Son of Rambow, Nicely done quirkiness based around a imaginative but sheltered kid who sees a movie for the first time ever and it flips his world.
And a good book:
The Yiddish Policemen’s Union, by Michael Chabon. An interesting what-if-the-Jews-moved-to-Alaska-instead-of-Israel murder mystery.
